EXTENSION FAQs
-
Individual strands of 100% human hair, bonded to your natural hair one at a time. Each bond is matched to your color, texture, and density, so the result moves, and blends, like it's actually yours.
-
Most guests get 3 to 5 months out of a full set before the bonds need to be removed and replaced. Because each strand is placed individually, there's no "move-up" appointment the way there is with tape-ins or wefts... just a full refresh when it's time.
-
Done well, keratin bonds are one of the gentlest methods available. The real key is aftercare — following it closely is what keeps your natural hair healthy the whole time your extensions are in.
-
Yes... in fact, keratin bonds are one of the best options for fine hair, when they're placed correctly. Because each bond is sized and placed individually, the weight distributes evenly instead of putting stress on any single strand. The key is working with someone who understands fine hair specifically, and knows how to customize the placement, density, and weight to match. Done right, extensions can genuinely leave fine hair feeling fuller and healthier over time.
-
Plan for 2 to 4 hours, depending on how much hair we're placing and what you're going for. It's time well spent, since this is what your next few months of hair are built on.
-
Yes, and it's one of my favorite parts of the process. Every set is color-matched and blended to complement your natural shade, often mixing a couple of tones for that soft, lived-in dimension. Most guests treat color as the finishing touch to their extensions, rather than a separate service.
-
Yes. They're 100% human hair, so curling, waving, and straightening are all fair game. Just use a heat protectant, and keep direct heat off the bonds themselves.
-
Give it 24 to 48 hours after installation before the first wash. After that:
Use extension-safe, sulfate-free products.
Shampoo gently, focused on the scalp.
Let the water do the work around the bonds, rather than scrubbing.
Condition from mid-lengths to ends.
-
Two to three times a week, with an extension-safe brush. Hold the hair near the root as you go, so the tension stays off the bonds. Always brush below the bonds and not directly over them. The best way to keep your bonds detangled is to manually separate them.
-
Not with extensions in. Let your hair dry completely first, and consider a loose braid or satin scrunchy overnight to keep things tangle-free.
-
Yes... it's one of the best parts. Ponytails, buns, braids, and updos all work beautifully once everything's placed correctly.
-
You can. Wet your hair with fresh water before you get in, wear it braided or up, and rinse it out again as soon as you're done. The less time chlorine or salt water spends sitting on the bonds, the better.
-
Skip sulfates, heavy oils applied right at the bonds, and anything alcohol-heavy that can dry things out. I'll walk you through exactly what to use at your consultation.
-
Less than you'd think. Daily brushing, the right wash routine, and sleeping with your hair secured are really it. You won't need to be back every few weeks for this to keep working... just when it's time for your next full set.
-
It depends on what you're going for, which is exactly what The Face Frame, The Volume, The Lengthen, and The Fullest are built around, from subtle fullness around the face to a complete transformation. We'll land on the right amount together at your consultation.
-
All services are priced as package rates and are gratuity-free. Extensions range from $700 to $2,300, and color from $350 to $600, depending on your hair density, desired fullness or length, and overall color needs. We'll land on the exact investment together, during your consultation.
-
That's exactly what the consultation is for. Based on your goals, your lifestyle, and what your natural hair is actually doing, we'll put together a plan, color and extensions both, that makes sense for you specifically. Nothing here is one-size-fits-all.
-
The bonds are gently broken down with a professional plier and remover, by me, start to finish. It's not something to rush through... doing it properly is what protects your natural hair for whatever comes next.
-
It starts with a new client form. From there, we'll set up an in-person or virtual consultation to talk through your goals and build your custom plan. Once everything feels aligned, we'll find the next availability that works for you.
